Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information YAP (“YAP”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the yap.trade website and related applications (the “Service”), how we use that information, and who we share it with. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

1. What we collect

  • Account identifiers. When you sign in through Privy, we receive the identifier you signed in with — typically an email address or a social handle (for example, from Google or X). We store this so we can recognize your account across sessions and devices.
  • Wallet address. The public Solana address of your embedded wallet. This address is public information on the Solana blockchain by design.
  • On-chain activity. Trades, transfers, and other transactions your wallet performs on Solana. This data is inherently public — anyone with your wallet address can view it on a block explorer, whether or not they use YAP.
  • In-app content. Posts, room messages, tips, follows, profile fields (display name, username, avatar, bio), watchlists, and other content you create in the Service.
  • Push notification subscriptions. If you enable push notifications, we store the browser or device push endpoint issued by your operating system so we can deliver alerts you have opted into.
  • Basic device & usage data. Standard request metadata such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and error logs. We use this for security, abuse prevention, and diagnostics.

2. What we do NOT collect

YAP does not have access to your private keys or seed phrase. Your embedded wallet is provided by Privy, and Privy holds the key material on your behalf under Privy’s terms and security practices. We cannot sign transactions on your behalf, cannot recover a lost wallet for you, and cannot move your assets.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers, payment-card details, or precise location data.

3. How we use it

  • To operate the Service — sign-in, feeds, rooms, watchlists, leaderboards, notifications, copy trading, referrals, and search.
  • To route trades through the Jupiter aggregator on Solana and to display accurate balances, positions, and PnL.
  • To send push notifications and in-app alerts you have opted into (for example, price surges, room activity, or copy alerts). You can turn these off in Settings or at the operating-system level at any time.
  • To provide customer support and respond to requests you send us.
  • To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms.
  • To improve reliability and performance of the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations that apply to us.

4. How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the infrastructure providers we need to run the Service, and only to the extent necessary for them to provide their function:

  • Privy — sign-in and embedded wallet infrastructure.
  • Supabase — database, authentication storage, and file storage for account and app data.
  • Cloudflare — hosting, edge networking, and DDoS protection.
  • Helius and other Solana RPC providers — reading and broadcasting on-chain data.
  • Jupiter — swap routing and quote aggregation on Solana.
  • Dexscreener, GeckoTerminal, and similar market-data providers — token prices, charts, and market metadata.

We may also disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a lawful government request; to enforce our Terms; to protect the rights, property, or safety of YAP, our users, or others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

5. On-chain data is public and permanent

Solana is a public blockchain. Your wallet address and every transaction it makes are visible to anyone, indefinitely, using publicly available block explorers. YAP cannot delete, hide, or reverse on-chain records — not for our account, not for yours. Please keep this in mind before every transaction.

6. Retention & deletion

We keep account and app data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to satisfy security, dispute-resolution, and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated in-app data by emailing info@yap.trade. We will honor the request except where retention is required by law, needed to resolve a dispute, or needed to enforce our Terms. As noted above, we cannot delete on-chain records.

7. Push notifications

Push notifications are opt-in. When you enable them, your browser or device issues a push subscription endpoint that we store so we can send messages. You can revoke that permission at any time in your device or browser settings, or turn individual categories off in Settings inside the app. Turning notifications off does not affect any other part of your account.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact info@yap.trade and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. Changes & contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, if the changes are material, provide additional notice in-app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Questions, requests, or complaints about this policy can be sent to info@yap.trade.
